Lake Sam Rayburn

Lake Sam Rayburn

It’s nothing more than the title to this blog entry. The photo shows a sunset from the 147 bridge; a photo I took early on with a very short exposure. The sky was not this dark but I like the effect. On the bridge were fire ants. I paid a small price.

Not much time had been spent at this lake for the clock and I have one conflict. The purpose was to get a sunset shot over the lake and fortunately the Western skyline was perfect for it had rained earlier in the afternoon. It’s like that in Texas in the summer months: afternoon rain when the sun shines. There’s nothing more beautiful really. The rain cools the hot day a little bit. As the summer passes the sky becomes a deeper blue. This is a requirement for infrared photography that I will share more about in upcoming posts.
