Caddo Lake State Park, Texas

A natural lake in Texas!  

It is a bit warm to be there right now but Caddo Lake is one that we certainly want to return to.  In fact, the area is under a burn ban. 

A most beautiful area of lush vegetation and bald cypress trees, we are able to fish, canoe, camp, hike, and simply enjoy the sounds of nature. 

Maybe this fall…

    Val, I believe that is Spanish moss that you are referring to hanging from those trees.

    Bobby, if there are any gators, they are small. We didn’t see any. But I was rather nervous when we were out on the the water in the canoe.

    There are indeed gators at Caddo Lake SP. They even sell t-shirts at the ranger station. If you’d like to see a picture:
