The Tomato Bowl is down the street. “Tomatoes became the primary crop until the 1950s. During this time, Jacksonville earned the title ‘Tomato Capital of the World.”‘

The 27th Annual Tomato Fest will be Saturday, June 11th. Who will be going?

    Oh, come on Bobby. Pay us a visit in Texas. At least show up for the Pump Jack Festival in Electra. There are enough prior-JS’rs in Texas, I think we could make something of it!

    Tomato capital, huh? I learned something. So we have the rose capital in Tyler, the black-eyed pea capital in Athens, and now this. Thanks for the education. 🙂

    unfortunately … no chance for a visit. But I would sooooo love to visit Texas again! Nesxt time YOU and Wes must be included in…..
