Washington Monument

11 Mar

Recently I dug out a box of photos to organize and decided to scan many of them primarily for archive purposes. There were images I had not seen in a couple of years. Sure stirs up good memories.

Washington DC (Taken with an Olympus XA2). What a great vacation that was. Where were you in ’86?

In 1986 I was in D.C., working at the Pentagon, just before I escaped to New Mexico. Memories…

I was in College at Old Dominion University in 1986. Graduated in 1987 on the 5 year plan. Mabel and I would escape to Washington, DC to “court” back in the day. We got married June of 1987.
Wonderful times although I wasn’t necessarily ready to be married as I didn’t know what I would do for a living at the time.
I recall lots of uncertainty and doubt back then.

    Love,
    Bobby

I was in my first year of marriage and working in management in the hospitality field, I think, I’m to old to remember that far back! Have a great, safe weekend!

That was the year I packed everything I owned and moved from Richmond to Charleston, SC. I wanted to live somewhere warmer, with palm trees and a true sense of place, and where I knew no one initially so I could see if I could make it on my own.

In the suburbs, with 2 and 4 year old boys, a new Aerostar and the same job I have now.
