Long Way Home

08 Jan

The day passed so quickly yesterday yet the drive home seemed endless. I like that for I tend to mentally drift off across the open pastures while dreaming of the Spring.

An Artic blast is due at midnight and all of my shopping is done so there is no need to go out in the ice tomorrow. A big pot of Sunday supper soup is being prepared and the wind chills so quickly this evening.

This winter has been quite pleasant. Tomorrow is different.

Bring it on! I actually like a bit of winter weather, since I know that here in Texas it will be over with in no time. Stay safe and enjoy that homemade soup. Mmmmm. 🙂

    Good shot.
How cold is cold down thar.
We were supposed to get a snow storm last night. Nothing.
Supposed to be more tonight…we’ll see.
    Keep cozy.

I really, really like this in the perspective and treatment!

Nice angle on this, A. The title (and the photo somehow fits, as well) reminded me of a Blind Faith song, “Can’t Find My Way Back Home”, but I know you have no such trouble 🙂

There’s a huanting quality about this photo that reminds me of my childhood, heading southward on Interstate 301 to Virginia, in the late 1960s.

    Love the mood you’ve captured.
