In Another World

30 Nov

That is just where I am today, in another place and time. The wind was so cold today and I dreamed all morning of riding my horse this afternoon, hoping that the day would still and even though remain cold, it would still be a fine day for an hour ride.

Dreaming of riding—
—on the Oregon coast
—across the dry desert
—in an empty arena after a rodeo
—to the neighbors with a bag of fresh picked apples
—under a full moon
—in the Tevis Cup
—onto the edge of the world

Thank you Cipher. You had posted this at the same time I was changing out the photo. The one of my Arab running just wasn’t pleasing to me. I appreciate your compliment!

Both shots are great – seem to capture some of the spirit as well as the beauty. I live at a small breeding / boarding ranch and I never tire of photographing the horses.

He looks incredibly content. We should all take lessons from him.

You’ve truly captured this magnificent & noble creature in beautiful repose. Great use of shadow & light also!
