The photo was taken a couple of years ago. He still looks the same when he runs—a streak of lightning, tail up, neck arched. And he loves to run. Except on hot days and evenings.

I could not get him to do much this evening when I saddled him and took him to the round corral. There was not a breeze to be felt. I couldn’t work him too hard. He was sweating from just the lunging and riding him for another hour would be asking too much.

We are using a different saddle and it looks like it fits fine but I need a half pad for shock absorbance. It seems to not put too much pressure on his withers but I need to try this half pad. It’s been a long time that I’ve used an english saddle.

Photos will follow—this week. By November I should have him looking like an Arabian should—physically fit and trim.

Very nice photo. It’s cooled down here so been riding a lot. Going across the state of Michigan on the shore to shore color ride in a couple weeks. My horses are quarter horse paints so their tails don’t stand up like that but they love to run and look similarly. It is like riding the wind…

    Enjoy, Wildstorm!

I know you feel a great connection… I know a few folks who are into horses and they love it very much. I can see why. They are perhaps the ultimate offroading vehicle and make for great companionship…
