Baby In The Bath

16 Mar

“The trick in adapting is not to throw out the baby with the bath water. You can change all kinds of things, but don’t muck around with the essence.” (Jay Presson Allen (1922–2006), New York Times 1972)

J sits for a good 15-20 minutes in the bathtub playing with his duck, plastic rings, whatever I’ve left for him. He also has learned how much fun water is when splashed.

I try to keep things simple around our home, making the most of everything we have. We have learned to adapt to this new way of life with a baby who is almost a year old and my working only part time. I would not change anything.
