It happened last night.
The days are cooler now with the exception of this weekend. And the evenings are wonderful. I saddled Carter and rode for a half hour. He became nervous of the tripod and the reflector disc that my husband was carrying around in the yard while photographing in what little daylight remained. Furthermore, the neighbors down the road were shooting their guns. I don’t know what they were shooting exactly but it sounded like cannons. The horse didn’t spook too badly. The red backpack sitting on the steps to the porch certainly made him nervous. We have a lot of work to do to bomb proof him. It does not take much to train him since he’s been there before. He’s been “on vacation” for a year.
After it became dark, we walked to the pond with a flashlight, the camera and tripod. The purpose was to capture anything we could that comes out at night. In the photo above you will see our success. It is far more easier to shoot frogs at night.
There is more. I will share another time.
