Brownie

24 Sep

Camera1

A month or so ago while reorganizing the garage after moving to this new house in February, I opened up every single box simply to see what had been packed away all these years that I don’t need. I found this Kodak Brownie. It belonged to one set of grandparents and I am contacting them this week to find out it’s story. Certainly, it’s all about the story that brings value to the item. I have not used it yet, much less cleaned it up properly.

I used to have a Brownie camera. I have no idea what happened to it.

I think that is what my gramma is going to say. She’ll be pleased it is still around. I hope you find yours.

Does that use 120 or 620 film?

I just KNOW you’ll take some photos with it! I sure would….

I love the flash…did it used a replaceable bulb? I wonder if you can still find the bulbs.

I still have mine in my study on one of my bookshelves; it hasn’t been used in around twenty five years, though. I have always loved older cameras.

I had a standard Brownie that I picked up at Goodwill. It even had the flash attached. It’s hard to get film these days, mine used 127 film. I’m not sure where it is now.
