The horses are finally moved to where they belong and the stallion is in a nice grassy paddock. A bit of work is still needed around his fence line and gate though with hot wire. The mares are rather pushy about things, especially mine. The mare in this photo was taken home last night after her breaking down fence to get into our pasture close to Doc.

Her name is Sparky and she’s probably around 18 years old. She was used at the college by my sis-in-law for her equine classes. You could rope calves off this horse. She has not been messed with much over the past ten years. She has been cared for, mind you, but not been under saddle or had much ground work for a long time. She’s had some pretty babies though.

Beautiful horse and lovely shot. I love horses, used to ride many years ago, and wished I could have a horse but never did. Sigh…..

She’s beautiful and this is a great shot! It is good to see well-cared-for horses. Who is Doc?

Anna, it’s never to late to ride again.

Stacie, thank you. Doc is the stallion. I will post more on him later. He’s got an interesting story.
