Greeleyville, SC

26 Dec

It was too early in the morning when we drove past this barber shop to stop in to interview and learn more about the goings on there.  A co worker and I were on a drive to the coast from Columbia to kill half the day before embarking on an assignment.   Each town has it’s own interesting story to tell in these parts.    Maybe on my next adventure, my husband will accompany me because I know he would sing here, even for a haircut.

I wonder if his name is “Christmas” or if that’s the only day of the year he works? Pretty sweet hours if you can get them. 😉

    Hi to you, Anita 🙂

On one of my many Greyhound bus journeys to Michigan from Florida and back again, I was able to experience these interesting small towns! Some were as if time stood still! I remember especially one is Georgia that was a “General Store.” It even had the old wooden plank floor and a glass cases with different things in them.

Take care and be safe, ~Judy aka Sunny

Working in Iraq for4+ years it was good to see a picture of the Christmas barbershop sign. Having resided in the Greeleyville area for many years I know much about the Greelevillians as they know about me. Mr. Christmas does operate the barbershop and will have a jam session anytime one or more musicians come in for a haircut.
    Thanks for your blog.
