White Rock Lake, Dallas, Texas

01 Aug

Almost four months have passed since I was at White Rock Lake.  For almost a year, I jogged regularly while working on the East side of the metroplex, usually in the evening. The best time is in the Spring when flowers were brilliantly coloring the landscape.

History of White Rock Lake is found right here.

Reminds me a little of the bridge over Bayou Texar in Pensacola. 🙂

I love it! Did I ever tell you that I am scared to death of bridges? When I was a child, my mom was picking up my dad from work and we were stuck on one for at least an hour due to rush hour traffic. I will dirve across the bridge, but I am a nervous wreck! Have a good weekend. (((hugs)))

It got to 113 here today. I keep asking someone to turn on a giant ac system and cool things off outside. Mother Nature was not amused. But then again, neither was I. Nice pic of the gas pumps – I always love to pull into a town somewhere and see something like that still being used (far and few between, but there ARE stations out there that still use mechanical readouts instead of the modern-day digital readout).

I like this picture as it shows the calmness of the evening. It gives you a feeling to be contented and end your day with peace of mind.
