Gas Pumps — Decatur, Texas

01 Aug

The August Daily’s begin with this photograph of some old gas pumps found in Decatur, Texas. There are some great finds there.  On a much cooler day, we will drive back to this town and search for treasures.  The courthouse is gorgeous and that photo is already found right here. Stay cool! It’s 103 on Saturday in North Central Texas. Someone turned the heat up.

Beautiful picture! 103 sounds pretty daggone uncomfortable… but it’s a dry heat, right? 😉

Dry heat…not exactly. But it is not as humid as it is in Houston. It’s not bad until it rains. But really, once the temp hits 100, it’s all the same.

I love this one, too. When we lived in Colorado Springs I drove through Decatur many many times going back and forth to Dallas. I would love to make that drive again.
