Prairie Archives, Springfield, Illinois

08 Jul

From the PaintTheHorse blog.

Prairie Archives sucked us right in the door like a vacuum cleaner that summer in Springfield, Illinois. We had toured Lincoln’s home, Lincoln’s Law Office, Lincoln’s this and that and had not yet been to the cemetary. That’s because we enjoyed a delightful lunch at a bistro just across from the courthouse staring right into this used bookstore. We were in there for hours. HOURS. We didn’t want to leave. In fact, it was so hot that summer and my grandmother’s house does not have central air, we almost chose to drive back out to Springfield and spend an entire day at this bookstore. Oh the treasures one can find.

That would drive me insane. I have to be organized, and thats the first thing I would do is organize that office!

It is a bookstore really. And it is one of the small rooms. Yep, it is messy.
