Girl Friday

22 Mar

The use of “Girl Friday” is frowned upon these days for reasons I cannot quite accept.  The first time I heard it’s use in almost 20 years was in one of my gun classes at the rifle range by the instructor.  He used it numerous times and I must admit it was quite refreshing.   Humans get all tied up in knots over such conformity.  My cat plays the role well laying around the office keeping papers from flying around when the windows are open.  Not real dependable, she’s great in my lap after a tough week at the office while I sit at my desk at home playing “girl-friday” for non other than my husband.

This is an extraordinary photo, to put it mildly!

It could not have been any different — e.g. in color, or cropped in a different way — without losing its appeal.

Seems like you get more vividly imaginative by the hour though somehow stranger as well, Summerwind. As for the cat? She belongs in your lap to be sure but, pretty certain she don’t trust guys like me. 😉
