This photo has been in my collection for years, possibly 4 maybe 5. Hedley sits on the US Hwy 287 on the way to Amarillo and I’ve passed through it a dozen times. The only time I stopped was to take this photo.
Its story is controversial so it is written.
What are some of your favorite stops along the route?

Hedley always reminded me of Hedley Lamar in Blazing Saddles. I liked Clarendon, even Quanah.

Neat back in time photo. I haven’t gone through my old photos of travels when I had used a film 35mm. Hmm… I have had favorite stops throughout many states from the earlier days.
