Last weekend my sister and her family attended the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show. (This photo and the one below were taken by my sister). This is the show of shows and is a first class event. The best attend this one. I have not yet attended simply due to life’s unpredictable schedule. Maybe next year. I do not know who these horses are but I do keep up on THIS FORUM who is showing their best. If you don’t stay with it, you can loose track fast although it does not take long to catch up with who is who.

HI Anita. The horses are beautiful. I dont know if I could ride sidesaddle though. The costume in the second picture is stunning for both rider and horse.

I love horse shows. We have a stable and event arena near here. I try to get there a few times a year.

Very classy, indeed! I like this one.
I hope it won “Best Of” it all
The lady and the horse and her riding outfit …the black outfit against the white horse looks like a winner.
Awesome shot you sister took!

Wow, that’s some giddyup costume on the second rider. Probably wouldn’t make many friends over at the OK Corral.
Great photo. Last fall I worked for a company that set up the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair at the CNE here in Toronto. Lots of horses. A photographer’s dream.

The costume horse is Mi Fire Love. I designed and made the costume. The rider is Tia Zukowski from Michigan.

“Gorgeous” how about “torturous” ? The costumed Arab/rider photo shows a horse with badly swollen right front fetlock joint and evidence of scarring at the top of the left front canon. Why, in God’s name, would someone put extensions on hooves or allow them to grow at such an angle as to cause the horse not to be able to move properly, naturally and soundly? Look, in the photo, at the horse’s left front pastern. A pastern should never be parallel to the ground. This is sick and wrong. Shame.
