He knows when you’re happy
He knows when you’re comfortable
He knows when you’re confident
And he always knows when you have carrots.

What do horses think about. My husband says they don’t think but I disagree completely. Science Daily says, “The Arabian horse is a breed of horse with a reputation for intelligence, high spirit, and outstanding stamina. Training is fun and believe me, and I’m no expert, the Arabian catches on fast and learns quickly. But when it comes down to it, it’s all about what you’ve got in your pocket; that or the feed bucket.

Silly me…I thought that little ditty was about Santa Claus!
now this is a very cool picture….
Falcon
and they bite if you eat an apple and turn your back on them because they think the apple should be theirs…. giggle
I believe that all horses have some type of intelligence, and it is not all instinct. They certainly know when they are tired riding!
Oh they think all right. They plot, plan and I’m pretty sure they gossip too. I have a 3 yr old gelding that if you put him in the cross ties, will wait until you walk away and then pop the safety hook and untie one side or the other. It is definitely premeditated. Not only do they each have very individual personalities, I can definitely see varying degrees of intelligence levels. They amaze me everyday.
That is a truly gorgeous photo! Thank you for sharing.
i’d bet horses think about what we do too. fear, happiness, friskivity, and sleep.
